The Three Lions have more often than not been high on the list of potential champions in any tournament they have entered with loads of talent backing the team. However, trophies have been as rare as they come, with England not having won a major tournament since the 1966 World Cup. With yet another crop of top players looking rise to the occasion, though, adidas has released a special video to highlight England's key man, Bellingham.

Carragher part of CBS Sports team for Champions League
Was worried U.S. viewers would not understand him
Has formed a great relationship with co-stars
WHAT HAPPENED?
Carragher has branched out from his job at Sky Sports and works for U.S. broadcasters CBS Sports on Champions League matchdays. The 46-year-old is a strong character with a thick Scouse accent and he has revealed that the executive producers of the show played a video of him to their wives to determine whether people would be able to understand him if he joined the show.

WHAT CARRAGHER SAID
Speaking to The Guardian, Carragher said: "He [Peter Radovich] was worried whether or not the audience would understand me. Would you believe these three executives played a video of me to all their wives and it was basically down to them to decide if they could understand me. Two of them did, one was not sure. So I just got the votes."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Carragher's work on CBS Sports is much more relaxed than his duties with Sky Sports. The former Liverpool defender puts that down to the cultural differences between the two audiences and admits he can be a bit more of himself alongside Thierry Henry and Co.
He said: " I wouldn’t say the producers at Sky are saying, ‘Do this it will be funny.’ They really want top analysis. We want to be the best and most respected show about football. With CBS, the producers are always asking, ‘How can we make this funny?’ It think it’s probably down to American culture. It’s new to me. But I love it."

WHAT NEXT FOR CARRAGHER?
Carragher will be back with the gang at CBS on Saturday for the Champions League final at Wembley. The team, led by Kate Abdo and complemented by Henry, Carragher and Micah Richards will have plenty more hilarious moments up their sleeve as Europe's top competition comes to a close under the famous arch.
Much like 2022/23, the 2023/24 season has been a disaster for Chelsea, as, despite the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino and the influx of promising youngsters in the summer, the Blues currently find themselves ninth in the Premier League and facing the realistic chance of a second successive campaign without European football.
However, three league wins on the bounce have seen the Pensioners narrow the gap on the top four, and perhaps with the right signings this month, they could make a late charge for the Champions League places.
That seems to be the thinking of the club themselves, anyway, as the latest player touted for a move to Stamford Bridge has been scoring for fun on the continent and could supercharge Cole Palmer's creative numbers – and the Blues have just made an offer.
Cole Palmer
Chelsea table bid for one of the continent's most in-form strikers
According to reports from Portugal (via Sport Witness), Chelsea have acted on their interest in Sporting CP's free-scoring number nine, Viktor Gyokeres, and have tabled a bid said to be in the region of €85m, which comes to about £73m.
However, Chelsea fans should not get too excited just yet as the report has also revealed that the Portuguese club have rejected the offer, reaffirming their stance that he is not for sale this month unless a club pays his massive €100m – £86m – release clause.
That said, given how close the Blues' offer was to the release clause, there is an expectation that they will come back with a second offer in the coming days.
While this deal will cost the club an arm and a leg to complete, getting a player of his quality through the door would be worth it, and his clinical finishing could do wonders for Palmer's creative numbers.
Viktor Gyokeres could supercharge Cole Palmer
Now, one of the biggest problems for Chelsea this season has been their striker's inability to finish the chances they are given in front of goal. According to Understat's expected goals model, the Blues have scored nine fewer than they should have by now, and while they sit eighth for goals scored, they are fourth for expected goals.
While this problem can be laid at the feet of several players at the club, one man has been particularly guilty of fluffing his lines: Nicolas Jackson.
The Senegalese forward may have a fairly respectable seven league goals to his name this season – granted, three of them came against a nine-man Tottenham Hotspur side – but according to his expected goals figure, he should have at least four more to his name, which is a rather shocking underperformance for the starting striker of a top six side.
In comparison, Gyokeres has 11 league goals from an expected goals figure of 7.9, meaning he is overperforming by over three goals, which, while likely unsustainable in the Premier League, is the sign of a clinical finisher – and he has scored some crackers in his career as well.
With the Swedish "powerhouse" up front, as he was described by data analyst Ben Mattinson, Chelsea's best summer signing, Palmer can expect to see his already impressive creative numbers skyrocket.
Currently, the former Manchester City prospect has four league assists to his name from an expected assists figure of 5.4, meaning that with his current teammates, he is losing out on at least one more assist to his record.

However, were he to have Gyokeres ahead of him, not only would he likely get that extra assist, but he could get another couple, given the rate at which the former Coventry City star overperforms.
Ultimately, while it will cost the club an enormous sum of money to get over the line, if Chelsea are serious about fighting their way back up the table, they should be making a second offer for the "unplayable" Swede, as former teammate Maxime Biamou described him, as Jackson is just too profligate in front of goal.

This is his second stint with the franchise, having earlier led them to the IPL semi-finals in 2013

Rahul Dravid and Paddy Upton have a chat•BCCI
Paddy Upton has been appointed as head coach of the Rajasthan Royals for the 2019 season, which begins in March. This is Upton’s second stint as head coach of the franchise, having previously held the position between 2013 and 2015. Shane Warne, who was head coach in 2018, will likely assume a brand ambassadorial role, as earlier reported by ESPNcricinfo.Upton was at the helm in 2013 when Rajasthan Royals turned their fortunes around after a bad start and made it to the semi-finals. In that season, Royals were also finalists in the now defunct Champions League, and under Upton, they were unbeaten in 12 consecutive home games. He also served as assistant coach to Gary Kirsten at India and South Africa.Upton will form Royals’ central coaching group along with former Debyshire quick Steffan Jones, who had been appointed the franchise’s fast-bowling coach last season, and director of cricket Zubin Bharucha. Former Mumbai players Amol Muzumdar and Sairaj Bahutule have been retained as batting coach and spin-bowling coach respectively.
Aston Villa's bruising defeat to Newcastle United in their Premier League opener seems a distant memory now, having won eight league games from the 11 that have followed.
This fantastic start to the campaign has seen them pick up some massive scalps already this season, with a 1-0 win away to Chelsea and a complete demolition of high-flying Brighton & Hove Albion when the Seagulls made the visit to Villa Park in late September.
This strong start to the league campaign has seen them climb to fifth place, just one point behind former League leaders Tottenham Hotspur and two points behind Arsenal and Liverpool in third and fourth, respectively.
Their European campaign has also well and truly recovered from their early defeat away to Legia Warszawa, as they find themselves second in the group, level on points with the Polish side in first.
With that in mind, Football FanCast has previewed and predicted their next six fixtures as they travel down to Spurs on Sunday in their first league game back from the International break.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa
26th November, Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
The first game back from the international break for Aston Villa is a trip to north London to take on the high-flying Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs have been one of the best teams in the league this season, although their bruising defeat to Chelsea and loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers before the international break has undoubtedly taken some of the shine off of their start to their league campaign.
Villa have proved that they're no pushovers under Emery this season, and while they certainly won't be favourites for the game, they also won't make it easy for the hosts.
After 12 Premier League games, the Claret and Blue are sitting pretty in fifth place with eight wins to their name and a goal difference of plus 12.
In fact, Villa's 29 goals scored this season is only bettered by Manchester City's 32, while Spurs have scored 24.
Another thing that the Lions have in their favour is history. In the last five meetings between these two sides, Villa have emerged with all three points three times, while Spurs have only done so twice.
However, with all that said, Tottenham are a different animal this season, and with home wins against Liverpool and Manchester United to their name this term, they are likely to be just one step beyond Villa as things stand – even with a few players missing through injury or suspension.
Therefore, we reckon the Lilywhites will just about clinch this one, although it won't be easy.
Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 Aston Villa
Aston Villa v Legia Warsaw
30th November, Europa Conference League, Villa Park
The Villans return to European action in their final fixture of November.
Having conceded defeat to the Polish outfit in the reverse clash, Villa will be eager to put right the performance in Warsaw, which saw them ship three goals.
Legia are currently leading the way in Group E, having won three of their opening four games, including a 2-0 victory against Bosnian side HŠK Zrinjski Mostar last time out, so the hosts will be incentivised to overthrow the table-toppers. However, Villa are level on points with the Polish side, so there really is very little to separate the sides.
The Claret and Blue will therefore be the favourites heading into the encounter, and with their current skyrocketing trajectory, their opponents could be in for a thumping.
Keeping the Premier League's second-highest scorers at bay will be a colossal task for the visitors, who currently lie sixth in the Ekstraklasa standings.
Although, Emery's side will have to be wary of Legia's Tomás Pekhart, who has already amassed four goals in the competition so far, albeit all during the qualifying phases.
Prediction: Aston Villa 4-0 Legia Warsaw
Bournemouth vs Aston Villa
3rd December, Premier League, Vitality Stadium
Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly.
Just three days after hosting Polish side Legia Warszawa in the Europa Conference League, Unai Emery's men will be on the road once more as they make the 123-mile trip down to the south coast to take on Andoni Iraola's struggling Bournemouth.
While the turnaround time is certainly less than ideal for the Claret and Blue, the team will still be going there full of confidence and rightly so, as they are the clear favourites for this encounter.
For all their investment over the summer, the Cherries are currently down in 16th place, just four points above Sheffield United in 18th place. In their 12 Premier League games so far, Bournemouth have picked up two wins, drawn three times, lost seven games and have a goal difference of -16.
In contrast, Villa are flying high in fifth place, having won a seriously impressive eight out of 12 games thus far, with a goal difference of plus 12.
That said, the Cherries do have one thing on their side this weekend: History. In their previous five meetings, Bournemouth have emerged with all three points four times to Villa's one.
However, the result won't be decided on history alone and with the way the sides are performing at the moment, we can't see anything other than a win for the visitors, and a comfortable one at that.
Prediction: Bournemouth 1-3 Aston Villa
Aston Villa vs Manchester City
6th December, Premier League, Villa Park
Manchester City manager PepGuardiola
Just three days after travelling down to the south coast for their game against Bournemouth, Unai Emery's Aston Villa will have to take on the Herculean task of playing this Manchester City side.
Villa have been undeniably impressive this season, and while they'll have the belief that they can beat anyone at Villa Park – as they should – City aren't just 'anyone'. Pep Guardiola's team are on the hunt for their fourth league title on the bounce, and from recent results, they look just as hungry as ever.
The treble winners currently sit atop the table – at the time of writing, at least – with 28 points and nine wins from 12 games. Whereas, Villa sit in fifth with eight wins, one draw and three losses from their 12 league games this season.
While the Villans will likely make this a challenging game for the visitors, we can't see anything other than a win for the men in sky blue, especially as they haven't lost to the Claret and Blue since 2013.
Prediction: Aston Villa 1-3 Manchester City
Aston Villa vs Arsenal
9th December, Premier League, Villa Park
kai-havertz-arsenal
The games come thick and fast in December, and just a few days after hosting the Premier League champions, Aston Villa will have to host last year's runners-up, Arsenal.
Unai Emery will be taking on his former side in this Saturday evening kick-off, and while he'll be keen to get one over on the team that sacked him over three years ago, his side will certainly be the underdogs.
The Gunners haven't been at their free-flowing best so far this season, but while they have struggled to score as frequently as they once did, their defence has become increasingly solid. In fact, only Liverpool can match their ten goals conceded at the time of writing.
However, Villa are just two points behind Arteta's side in the table after 12 games, and with the likes of Ollie Watkins, Moussa Diaby and Douglas Luiz, they could spring a surprise on the men in red and white, especially with the vociferous support of Villa Park behind them.
That said, we still reckon Arsenal will have just enough to collect all three points from this one.
Prediction: Aston Villa 1-2 Arsenal
HSK Zrinjski Mostar vs Aston Villa
14th December, Europa Conference League, Stadion pod Bijelim Brijegom
John McGinn
Aston Villa are blessed with a few days off after their clash with Arsenal before they have to make the long trip to Bosnia for their final Europa Conference League game of the year against HSK Zrinjski Mostar.
Unai Emery's men are undoubtedly the favourites going into this one, although when they met one another on October 5th, it took a 94th-minute strike from John McGinn to seal the win for the Claret and Blue.
However, the scoreline doesn't really reflect the game, as Villa had 75% of the possession in that game, a passing accuracy of 88%, made 634 passes to Zrinjski's 223 and took 27 shots, nine of which were on target. So, it's a real mystery how that game only ended 1-0.
The Premier League side will be away from home for this one, which could make life harder, especially as Zrinjski currently sit in third place in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
That said, there is more than enough quality in this Villa side to get the job done, and with Emery at the helm, there will be very few teams that can get the best of the Claret and Blue in Europe this season.
Ultimately, we reckon this will be a relatively straightforward win for Villa, and while they may not have quite as many shots away from home, we wouldn't be surprised if they do end up with more goals this time.

The board also divulged details around team composition and the competition format, as well as the bidding process, which will decide the six venues
Liam Brickhill26-Sep-2018Cricket South Africa will receive help from some of BCCI’s senior administrators in running their new T20 cricket league, CSA’s chief executive Thabang Moroe has announced.”I am delighted to announce that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has accepted our invitation to make some of their senior administrators, who have extensive experience in running the Indian Premier League (IPL), available to assist with the smooth running of our tournament,” said Moroe. “Their experience will be invaluable and will assist in ensuring that the League is one of international standing.”CSA also divulged details around team composition and the competition format, as well as the bidding process, which will decide the six venues. Each franchise’s squads will have 16 players, with a minimum of three and a maximum of four overseas players. Any Kolpak-contracted South African will be regarded as overseas players for the event. The bidding process will be decided by a bid “open to all ICC-accredited CSA Members that will include an independent analysis by an appropriate consultancy firm”, and no venue will host more than one team. The CSA board unanimously approved the six-team format, which would appear to put them on a collision course with previous franchise owners of the original, eight-team event. Some former owners are either considering or pursuing legal action against CSA, who have also recently changed attorneys from Mota Attorneys to Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs, Africa’s largest law firm. The announcements came as CSA took a further step forward, a day after announcing public broadcaster SABC as their exclusive broadcast partner for the event, towards the realisation of the T20 league originally pitched early last year by opening applications from South African and overseas players interested in participating in the SA T20 League. The closing date for players to register is October 2, and the player draft will take place on October 17. The inaugural edition of the league will run during the last quarter of 2018, with the tournament starting on November 9 and culminating in the final on December 16.Moroe suggested that CSA are hoping to retain the marquee players – the likes of Kieron Pollard, Chris Gayle, Kevin Pietersen, Dwayne Bravo and Eoin Morgan – who were part of the original draft for the first, postponed edition of the league last year.”The time is now right for us to register players who would like to participate in our League,” said Moroe. “We will be seeking to secure the services of the foreign and South African marquee players who were recruited for the previous league on two-year contracts. In addition, subject to our international commitments, all the Proteas-contracted players are expected to participate in most of the League.”Any unavailability of Proteas players only affects the first few days of the league when the Proteas will be involved in their limited-overs tour to Australia which finishes with the T20 match on November 17.”
