The retirements of Graeme Smith and Jacques Kallis and the subsequent loss of experience from the South African squad is the primary reason behind Hashim Amla making himself available for the job of Test captain. Amla informed South Africa’s selection panel he could be considered alongside AB de Villiers, Faf du Plessis and JP Duminy to replace Smith as leader for Tests and is expected to be seriously considered for the role.”A lot has changed over the last few months,” Amla said in an interview with South Africa’s . “Graeme has retired, Jacques has retired. I have always stayed away from taking the leadership role but now that we have lost two core members I think it is a good time for me, if appointed, to add value to the team.”Amla’s interest in the job comes as a surprise because he has been reluctant to captain in the past. He asked to be relieved of the duty when he was put in charge of the Dolphins franchise after one season, 2004-05, to concentrate on his batting and also relinquished the vice-captaincy of the limited-overs sides last February.Now in his 10th year as an international cricketer, Amla feels he has enough experience to take on a little extra in all respects. Like Smith, who called time on his 11-year career partly because of the needs of his young family, Amla also has young children but said he would be happy dividing his time for now.”Though cricket does form a deep part of a person’s life, everything else carries on,” he said. “The children are here and running around – being a father is something you can’t really explain but it has helped develop some other skills that could be used on a cricket field. I am really grateful the family has been supportive as it is quite challenging and we travel a lot.”While Amla admitted he was “not too sure” what the impact of captaining would be on his batting, he maintained scoring runs will remain a key focus. “I have always tried to establish myself as a batsman first. Hopefully I can try and manage both,” Amla said. “I am confident I can try and balance the two because on the field, I have always felt my mind is active and I try and contribute to ideas.”Amla’s more vocal approach, particularly behind the scenes, was the first clue he would like to be more involved in the think tank. He explained he will continue to form part of that group irrespective of who is chosen as Test captain, because he, de Villiers, who has also expressed his readiness to take on the role, du Plessis and Duminy share an understanding. “Whoever is captain, I don’t think it will change my approach. We have a great bunch of senior guys who rely on and feed off each other,” he said.”The speculation over who will be the next captain doesn’t affect our relationship. We have been playing for quite a long time and we have a good relationship. It’s not about who is captain or who is not captain; it’s about what’s good for the team. If the powers that be deem someone else to be in a better position to captain, then brilliant.”Amla admitted South Africa had been through a “challenging season” and hinted that he expects it to remain tough. Following their first series defeat in five years, to Australia at home in March, and the annual update of the ICC’s rankings, South Africa fell a fraction of a point below Australia and the new captain’s most pressing task would be close that gap.”The top three or four teams are pretty evenly matched,” he said. “We also had a few challenges with Graeme and Jacques retiring but now, as a team we have to find a way of playing without those two colossal figures.”In many ways, Amla voicing interest in the captaincy is the start of that process and is thought to have sparked debate among the selection panel. The South African selectors will continue debating who they would like to recommend as the next captain over the next two weeks. Once they have made their choice, they will refer it to the CSA board who will either ratify or reject it. An announcement on who the successful candidate will be is expected in early June.

O camisa 10, Nenê comentou sobre a jogada rápida que realizou. Além disso, espera que durante a pausa para Copa América, o time possa atuar em conjunto.

– Ao contrário de outras vezes, o time tomou o gol e não se abateu. Continuamos firmes, tentamos a virada. Fico feliz por ter participado do gol. Espero que neste tempo (pausa) a gente possa trabalhar muito. Todos que estão aqui tem condição para entrar e mudar um jogo. Quem está no São Paulo tem qualidade, mas tem que ter na cabeça que pode ajudar – disse o camisa 10 do São Paulo ao Premiere.

تم إيقاف فان دايك بسبب سلوكه تجاه الحكم، وسيقضي قائد ليفربول فان ديك عقوبة الإيقاف لمباراة إضافية واحدة، حيث يغيب كذلك عن مباراة ولفرهامبتون يوم السبت.

واعترف فان دايك بتهمة سوء السلوك، ليتم تغريمه أيضًا 100 ألف جنيه إسترليني، بخلاف الإيقاف.

وفي مذكراته المقدمة إلى اللجنة التأديبية، أكد فان دايك أنه قدم اعتذارًا فوريًا لكل من بروكس والحكم الرابع كريج باوسون في نهاية المباراة.

وقال فان دايك: “قبل السيد بروكس والسيد باوسون اعتذاري واعترفا بأنهما فهما أن المشاعر في المباراة كانت عاملًا مهمًا”.

وتأخر فان دايك في الاستجابة لقرار الحكم بالخروج من الملعب لـ 15 ثانية إضافية تقريبًا، بحسب ما أشارت صحيفة “ذا صن” في تقريرها.

وأوضحت اللجنة المكونة من، برادلي بريتشارد، ومهاجم شيفيلد يونايتد السابق توني أجانا وميك كيرنز: “ساهم هذا في إطالة أمد الحادث، لقد لاحظنا أيضًا تأثير الإجراءات التي استخدمها فيرجيل فان دايك”.

وتابعت: “وعلى الرغم من الإحباط الواضح الذي شعر به في ذلك الوقت، إلا أنه لم يكن من المناسب إظهاره بهذه الطريقة؛ وتحديدًا لغة جسده وإيماءات يده تجاه الحكم”.

وواصلت: “وتفاقم الأمر أكثر عند مغادرة الملعب عندما واصل الاحتجاج أمام الحكم الرابع على خط التماس، ولم يتوقف إلا عندما تدخل مديره الفني”.

وأكد: “مثل هذه الإجراءات غير مناسبة إلى حد كبير ويمكن تجنبها، أفعاله وكلماته كانت أقل بكثير من المبادئ الأساسية للسلوك”.

وفي شرح العقوبة، قبلت اللجنة الإيقاف مباراتين وغرامة قدرها 150 ألف جنيه إسترليني، وقد خففت العقوبة بسبب اعتراف فان دايك بالتهمة وسجله الجيد السابق.

Mohammad Ashraful has said he wanted a clean break from his involvement in fixing, which was why he confessed his wrongdoings to the ACSU in 2013. Ashraful was banned for eight years for his role in fixing during the 2013 BPL, and his only gripe was with the length of his penalty, which he felt could have been shorter.Ashraful’s ban includes a three-year suspended sentence, which could reduce his punishment to five years if he completes authorised anti-corruption education programmes under the BCB, ICC or Asian Cricket Council. He said he did not regret confessing to the ACSU, though the BPL corruption tribunal had said in its detailed verdict that the investigation was flawed.”I don’t have any regret confessing what I did,” Ashraful told ESPNcricinfo. “I knew that I would be punished from the moment I confessed. The only thing that could have happened was probably a lesser punishment. Maybe they could have cut down a year or two. Or they could have given me a chance to play domestic cricket. Otherwise it becomes hard to survive without playing cricket.”I just wanted to come out clean the next time I play cricket. I didn’t think about whether they [the ACSU] did a good or a bad job. I just wanted to come out with it.”Ashraful has been in good spirits after the initial shock following the BCB suspending him in June last year, and played unauthorised matches in Dhaka and the USA. He said he would consult his lawyers about when to file an appeal, which has to be done within 21 days of the sentencing.”I am positive that I can come back to cricket after five years. I have already served one year,” Ashraful said of his ban, which was backdated to the beginning of his suspension. “I will be appealing after I receive the full judgment, having consulted my legal representatives.”

وأدركت اللجنة أن ربما يكون الخطأ ناتجًا من حساب وقت المباراة على شاشة التلفزيون.

Adil Rashid enjoyed his best bowling figures at Headingley in four years to keep Yorkshire in with a good chance of beating Durham and taking a clear lead in the Division One table. The legspinner captured 4 for 73 as Durham were forced to follow on after being bowled out for 231 – trailing by 195 runs – as they closed the third day still 136 adrift.The eight bonus points which Yorkshire have taken from the match mean they currently share top place with Nottinghamshire.Durham resumed their first innings in the morning on 50 for 1 and with plenty of batting ahead of them if they were to go on and win the match. Yorkshire were eager for early wickets. One came quickly when Ryan Sidebottom managed late movement off a perfect length to Scott Borthwick who edged into Jonny Bairstow’s gloves.Opener Keaton Jennings settled in solidly, however, and was well supported by Michael Richardson, the former taking two off-side boundaries in an over off Jack Brooks before greeting the arrival of Rashid into the attack with a swept four.Jennings advanced with some clean drives to his half-century off 122 balls with eight fours but having reached 56 he pushed at the accurate and miserly Steven Patterson and Adam Lyth scooped up the catch at second slip.In the next over, Gordon Muchall was lbw on the back foot to Tim Bresnan and it rapidly became Yorkshire’s morning as Richardson chipped back the last ball before lunch to Rashid, Durham having slid to 119 for 5 with three wickets toppling for nine runs.Soon after the interval, Yorkshire had two chances on 131 to make life easier for themselves but were unable to take either of them. Phil Mustard edged Brooks to Alex Lees at third slip but be could not grasp a sharp chance and Paul Collingwood would have been run out off the next ball if Sidebottom had scored a direct hit on the stumps.’Very challenging wicket’ – Collingwood

Durham captain Paul Collingwood admitted he was surprised at the quality of the Headingley pitch after his side were bowled out for 231. Collingwood said he felt Yorkshire, who will go 16 points clear of Nottinghamshire should they complete a win on the final day, had “taken a punt” with their preparation.
He implied that they ran the risk of it backfiring on them if they had lost, or worse still been penalised for an unfit pitch. Adil Rashid, who took four wickets, said that the pitch “was not offering much” but Collingwood begged to differ.
“It’s very challenging wicket,” he said. “It’s broken up a lot more than we expected it to, it’s turning and it’s going up and down. It’s one of those ones where you get one that rears up as you push forward and it hits you in the bicep. It’s not a flat wicket. Even Adam Lyth looked a handful and he’s a part-time spinner.
“Unless you go and have a look at it you’ll not realise what it’s like. Every four inches there’s a hole. It’s starting to get more and more variable. It’s almost the complete opposite of a typical Headingley pitch. It’s turned into a bit of a dustbowl.
“I’m surprised that Yorkshire have taken a punt by preparing a pitch like that in such a big match. But hey, hats off, if the pitch inspectors don’t come in and see it as a dangerous pitch. They are on top of the game so well done to them.”

On at least two occasions, Sidebottom pleaded in vain to umpire Richard Illingworth for lbw decisions against Mustard but it was Rashid who went on to break the troublesome 51 stand by having Mustard snapped up at short leg by Jack Leaning for 17.Rashid was looking more confident than he had done for some time and – after John Hastings had looped a catch to Lyth at slip – he made Phil Coughlin pay for on-driving him for six to get off the mark by enticing him to hit straight into the hands of Brooks at deep mid-on.Collingwood remained a threat to Yorkshire’s ambitions, completing his 50 off 89 balls with five fours, and when he received a beamer from Brooks the bowler was given an official warning.Patterson took the new ball for the second delivery after tea and he shared it for an over with Rashid before pinning Mark Wood lbw. Sidebottom replaced the spinner and his first ball had Chris Rushworth lbw, Collingwood remaining unbeaten on a defiant 64 from 106 balls with six fours.Both Sidebottom and Patterson were models of consistency throughout the innings, Patterson’s two wickets costing him 27 runs off 20 overs and Sidebottom being similarly rewarded from 14.2 overs with six maidens.But the happiest man was probably Rashid, whose figures were his best at Headingley since picking up 5 for 137 against Warwickshire almost exactly four years ago and his best in any match since taking 5 for 78 against Middlesex at Lord’s last summer.All out for 231 and following on with 26 overs of the day still remaining, Durham were given a mainly untroubled start by Mark Stoneman and Jennings and at 33 for no loss, after 14 overs Rashid was brought on from the Football Stand end. But he was given only two overs by skipper, Andrew Gale, who then turned to the offspin of Lyth and it proved to be an inspired move because he clean bowled Jennings with his fifth delivery and Durham were 39 for 1. Borthwick then helped Stoneman to see it through to the close without further mishap.

A rede demoraria a balançar, mas os gols vieram praticamente em sequência. Aos 40 minutos, Talia, de pênalti, abriu o placar para o Botafogo, que parecia estar perto do primeiro triunfo na competição. As botafoguenses, porém, não contavam com Letícia Nunes, que saiu do banco para empatar o placar com um chute de longa distância, contando com uma falha da goleira do Alvinegro.

Os times voltam aos gramados na próxima segunda-feira. Às 16h, o Botafogo encara o São Paulo; duas horas e meia depois, o Cruzeiro mede forças com a Ponte Preta. Ambos os compromissos serão disputados no Estádio Manuel Ferreira, já que São Paulo é a sede da chave.

أعلن نادي ليفربول، في بيان رسمي اليوم الجمعة، موعد مواجهة فريق بورنموث في إطار منافسات كأس رابطة الأندية الإنجليزية.

ويستضيف ملعب “فيتاليتي” مباراة الفريقين، والتي تأتي في إطار لقاءات دور الـ16 من كأس كاراباو.
