Atuando centralizado na frente, na vaga que deverá ser ocupada em breve por Maxi López, o camisa 9 foi quem mais tentou finalizar no Carioca até agora, entre os jogadores do elenco vascaíno. Em três jogos, foram 10 arremates, sendo cinco de perna esquerda – a sua predileta -, três de cabeça e duas com o pé direito. Entretanto, apenas quatro foram na direção do gol.

Ainda sem marcar, Ribamar vem tentando ajudar também os seus companheiros. Com oito assistências para finalização, o atacante é o segundo jogador do Vasco que mais criou chances de gol, ficando atrás apenas de Danilo Barcelos. O lateral-esquerdo já deu 11 passes para conclusão em apenas dois jogos disputados até o momento.

وقال طارق يحيى في تصريحات عبر برنامج “الكلاسيكو”، على قناة “دي إم سي”: “ما قاله موسيماني عن تلقيه عرضًا لتدريب الزمالك لم يحدث، لم نطرح اسم المدرب الجنوب إفريقي من الأساس”.

وأضاف: “المدرب الجنوب إفريقي لم ينجح مع الأهلي لأنه عبقري، ولكن لأن لاعبي المارد الأحمر لديهم إمكانيات كبيرة، وهم السبب الرئيسي في الفوز بالبطولات من وجهة نظري”.

واختتم: “أعتقد أن أي مدير فني مصري يدرب الزمالك سينجح أكثر من موسيماني، أي مدرب مصري زملكاوي أفضل من الجنوب إفريقي بكثير”.

Kevin Pietersen has been ruled out of all cricket for up to eight weeks by the knee injury which has been troubling him during the New Zealand tour. He will miss the deciding Test in Auckland, which starts on Friday, as well as the IPL with a view to him being fit for the Champions Trophy and the Ashes.The estimated recovery time makes Pietersen doubtful for the return series against New Zealand, beginning on May 16 at Lord’s. He first felt the problem, which could be caused by cartilage damage, during the warm-up match in Queenstown, although it only really came to light when he was absent for a session of the Dunedin Test. England were fielding at the time and it was played down as nothing serious. He made 0 and 12 in the first Test, and although he responded with 73 in Dunedin, he was never fluent but remained on the field.”Pietersen experienced knee pain while fielding in preparation for the four-day game in Queenstown earlier this month, ahead of the Test series,” the ECB said in a statement. “This has failed to resolve satisfactorily.”Recent scans confirm an injury to the right knee with bone bruising and possible cartilage damage to the kneecap. The 32-year-old will return to the UK for further investigations and specialist review.”The injury is likely to require ongoing assessments and a likely six-eight week period of rest and rehabilitation. Pietersen has therefore been withdrawn from all cricket including the Indian Premier League.”The fact Pietersen has not been kept on in New Zealand with the series at stake shows that time is already of the essence to get him ready for the main events of the English season. In 2009 he was forced out mid-way through the Ashes series with a career-threatening Achilles injury.Pietersen’s withdrawal will mean a likely recall to the middle order for Jonny Bairstow, the Yorkshire batsman who has not played since the Twenty20 series earlier in the tour. His previous Test was against India, in Mumbai, when he stood in for Ian Bell who went home for the birth of his child.It won’t be the first time Bairstow has replaced Pietersen in a Test line-up. He came in for the deciding match against South Africa, at Lord’s, last year following Pietersen’s dropping after the text-message controversy. Baristow responded with scores of 95 and 54. In five Tests he has scored 196 runs at 32.66.England will now be sweating on the fitness of two key players over the next two months. Graeme Swann is currently in the early stages of his recovery from elbow surgery after he was ruled out of the New Zealand tour on the morning of the first Test.

An electric late rally in the field, completed by a stoic over of pinpoint yorkers from Kevon Cooper, saw Rajasthan Royals begin their IPL campaign with a thrilling five-run win over Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Daredevils were hurtling towards their target after 17 overs, with only 22 runs to get, and a flourishing David Warner at the crease. But Cooper ignited his side with a five-run over in the 18th that ended with a wicket, before a direct hit from acting captain Brad Hodge at cover dismissed Warner in the penultimate over, to give his side hope of a still-unlikely victory.Nine runs were required off Cooper’s final over, but the bowler delivered six yorkers, two of which dismissed panicking Daredevils batsmen, and provided the IPL’s first week with its second nail-biting result. Johan Botha was out lbw, attempting a reverse paddle with seven required from four, before Andre Russell also fell trying to hit the ball fine with six needed from two, only this time Cooper cleaned him up. New man Naman Ojha had to hit a six off the last ball for Daredevils to salvage victory, but could not connect with a wide yorker, sparking ecstatic celebrations from Royals.Daredevils’ death-over meltdown almost mirrored Royals’ returns from the same period of their innings, after the visitors had managed just six runs from their last two overs, and lost four wickets. Royals had arrived in the 18th over at 159 for 3, and were eyeing a 180-plus total that seemed par on a good batting surface. They however lost four batsmen in six balls, including Rahul Dravid, whose immaculately paced 65 off 51 held the team’s innings together.Dravid had arrived at Kusal Perera’s demise in the third over, and aside from a controlled edge to the third man fence first ball, was largely content to collect singles to begin with, despite the fielding restrictions. When the bowlers erred, as Andre Russell did when he served up a wide delivery in the sixth over, Dravid’s placement and timing ensured the desired boundary was achieved.He was dropped twice in the 12th over, when he began to introduce more aggression to his innings, but he was undeterred, and having made only 22 from his first 26 deliveries, he quickly achieved a more laudable strike rate through the middle overs.For Daredevils, Warner was also relatively reticent to begin with, allowing opening partner Unmukt Chand to provide the early innings impetus, and striking at no better than a run a ball until the tenth over of the innings. When he eventually exploded in earnest, with two fours off Rahul Shukla in the 13th over, Daredevils appeared to be executing a measured chase.Warner was dropped early in his innings, and had one more reprieve just after hitting fifty, as he continued to maul some indifferent Royals bowling through the middle overs. Just before Daredevils hit their wall, Warner launched Siddharth Trivedi in the 17th over for 13. After Warner’s demise however, none of the Daredevils batsmen seemed capable of finding the boundary, and Royals achieved revenge for the mighty close defeat they had suffered last year, in the same fixture.

No meio de semana, que contou com jogos da Copa do Brasil, Libertadores e Copa Sul-Americana, além das semifinais da Taça Guanabara, no Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Oliveira, do Atlético Mineiro, Gilberto, do Bahia, e Gustavo, do Corinthians, confirmaram o bom momento vivido e balançaram as redes novamente. Confira o ranking atualizado:

1º – RICARDO OLIVEIRA – ATLÉTICO-MG – 9 GOLS

A fase vivida por Ricardo Oliveira é realmente impressionante. Aos 38 anos de idade, o atacante do Galo chegou aos nove gols marcados em apenas cinco partidas disputadas na temporada. Uma média de quase duas bolas na rede por jogo.

Contra o Danubio, do Uruguai, no meio de semana, o centroavante marcou duas vezes na vitória do Galo por 3 a 2, que classificou a equipe para a próxima fase da Copa Libertadores. No jogo de ida, os mineiros haviam empatado em 2 a 2, também com dois gols de Ricardo.

2º – GILBERTO – BAHIA – 8 GOLS

Foram 25 jogos e 9 gols marcados em 2018. Este ano, em apenas sete partidas, Gilberto, do Bahia, já balançou as redes oito vezes, seguindo à caça de Ricardo Oliveira no ranking dos goleadores dos times da Série A na temporada.

Na última quarta-feira, pela Copa do Brasil, o atacante marcou duas vezes no empate em 2 a 2 do Tricolor com o Rio Branco, do Acre, que classificou os baianos para a próxima fase da competição.

3º – PATRICK FABIANO – CSA – 6 GOLS

Uma das surpresas do ranking de artilheiros neste início de temporada, Patrick Fabiano não entrou em campo neste meio de semana. Com o CSA eliminado da Copa do Brasil pelo Mixto e longe das competições sul-americanas, o atacante se manteve com seis gols em oito jogos na temporada.

Contratado este ano pelo clube alagoano, Patrick não jogava no futebol brasileiro desde 2011, quando defendeu o Athlético Paranaense. Desde então, o jogador vinha atuando no futebol árabe.

4º – GUSTAVO – CORINTHIANS – 5 GOLS

Nem Boselli, nem Vagner Love. O atacante que vem se destacando com a camisa do Corinthians na temporada é Gustavo. De volta ao clube após um ano emprestado ao Fortaleza, onde marcou 30 gols em 2018, o centroavante já balançou as redes cinco vezes em oito jogos-oficiais em 2019 – marcou também um gol no amistoso contra o Santos, que não entrou na contagem.

Nesta quinta-feira, o centroavante mais uma vez foi fundamental para a equipe. De cabeça, marcou o gol de empate – 1 a 1 – contra o Racing, da Argentina, que impediu a derrota da equipe no jogo de ida da Copa Sul-Americana.

4º – LUCIANO – FLUMINENSE – 5 GOLS

Autor de 5 gols em 24 jogos com a camisa do Fluminense em 2018, Luciano já igualou sua marca em 2019, tendo disputado apenas sete partidas pelo Tricolor na temporada. O último deles, decisivo.

O atacante marcou seu quinto gol no ano no Fla-Flu desta quinta-feira, que terminou com a vitória do time das Laranjeiras por 1 a 0. O tento classificou o clube para a final da Taça Guanabara, onde enfrentará o Vasco.

4º – JEAN MOTA – SANTOS – 5 GOLS

Artilheiro do Campeonato Paulista com cinco gols, Jean Mota foi um dos poucos goleadores da temporada que passaram em branco neste meio de semana. Ele, e todo o time do Santos.

A equipe santista atuou pela Copa Sul-Americana, na terça-feira, e não saiu do 0 a 0 contra o time do River Plate, do Uruguai, atuando fora de casa. Com isso, Jean se manteve com cinco gols marcados em 2019, número que já é o ser recorde pelo Peixe.

4º – MICHAEL – GOIÁS – 5 GOLS

Líder de assistências da última Série B, Michael começou 2019 com o faro de gols mais apurado. Autor de sete gols em 50 partidas em 2018, o jovem atacante do Goiás já estufou as redes cinco vezes em apenas sete jogos.

Neste meio de semana, Michael passou em branco na vitória goiana por 2 a 0 sobre o Sergipe, pela Copa do Brasil. Ainda assim, o atacante segue sendo um dos principais artilheiros do ano no Brasil.

4º – DANIEL AMORIM – AVAÍ – 5 GOLS

Após um início de ano discreto pelo Avaí, Daniel Amorim desandou a marcar gols nos últimos jogos. Do último fim de semana até hoje, foram quatro gols em apenas duas partidas disputadas, totalizando cinco tentos na temporada.

No último jogo, contra o Real Ariquemes, pela Copa do Brasil, o atacante balançou as redes duas vezes na goleada por 4 a 1.

This is a hard-fought game between two excellent sides. The prospect of a fourth day in glorious conditions at Hove should inspire excitement. If it does not, it is no reflection on the players.

Warwickshire’s coach Dougie Brown has pinned the blame firmly on the Hove pitch for a hard-fought game which seems to be heading inexorably towards stalemate.”For people who maybe don’t quite understand the game, they’re probably wondering why we’re bleating on about the pitch and stuff but in fairness is that a first-class pitch?” Brpwn asked “I would doubt it to be honest. We always thought the pitch would at some stage deteriorate. That might be at some time next month.””It just killed the game completely. There’s nothing in there for anybody, batters included. Speaking to our batters it’s actually almost impossible to get the ball off the square. How you’re ever going to get a result on surfaces like this I just do not know, particularly when you use a heavy roller as well and deaden it even further.”I just feel sorry for the people who’ve come to watch two very, very strong sides playing. What’s happened is the conditions haven’t really allowed for entertaining cricket.”It’d be a bit like, in football terms, going out to watch some of the best teams playing and playing on grass that was a foot long. You can’t apply your skills like you could do on any normal occasion so that’s been disappointing. I don’t know about docking points or whatever, that’s not for me to say.”And it was hard to argue with Brown’s assessment at the end of another day that, despite the high calibre of players on display, seldom rose above the turgid. It was just as well that the beer festival brought over 20 different ales – more than the 17 wickets to fall so far – to enjoy.The only bowler to rise above the conditions was Boyd Rankin. While Chris Wright displayed perseverance, and Chris Woakes parsimony, Rankin was comfortably the most threatening of Warwickshire’s quick bowlers and deserved more than the three wickets he snared.During one over in the morning session, he might have had a hat-trick. Luke Wells was denied a century by a yorker that made a wreckage of the stumps he protects with such care; Matt Prior was beaten for pace and could have fallen lbw first ball; and Ed Joyce was dropped by Tim Ambrose from a legside bouncer.Rankin retired from Ireland duty last year and has declared his ambition to try and pursue a Test career with England. That must be considered very unlikely – he is nearly 29 and has a bad record with injuries (he was here returning from ten weeks out with a stress reaction in his foot) – but when he bowls with the hostility and searing bounce he showed here, it doesn’t seem inconceivable that England could show interest in Rankin as a reserve, tall impact quick bowler, behind Steven Finn and Chris Tremlett.Brown certainly thinks it is possible: “Obviously going out to Australia, the conditions out there would suit him immensely. He’s a big tall lad – 6ft 8in – he bowls very fast, he bowls aggressively and when he’s on form there’s very few bounce bowlers in world cricket better than him.”Rankin can do subtlety too, varying his angle by switching between over and around the wicket and using his yorker as an occasional weapon of destruction, as Wells could attest to.After his early morning spell, it fell to Matt Prior to awaken spectators from their happy slumbers in the deckchairs. Three crunching drives off four Wright deliveries oozed purpose, but Wright soon had Prior caught by his friend and onetime Sussex colleague Tim Ambrose to a ball that moved late. And, to judge by the quality with which Ben Brown cut the ball in his unbeaten 82, another Sussex wicket keeper could one day also interest the ECB.For now, their attentions are better turned to the merits of reinstating the heavy roller – a measure designed to mimic Test match conditions but one that risks undermining the pleasures of picturesque county grounds like Hove.
